BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – An altercation between a man and a security officer at a restaurant in Fels Point led to a shooting early Saturday morning.
Shortly before 2:30 am, officers from the Baltimore Police Department arrived at the 700 Block of South Broadway to investigate a shooting report. Upon arrival at a local pizzeria in the Inner Harbor, “The Pie In The Sky,” the victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
The victim and security officials had been engaged in a physical altercation prior to the shooting, according to an initial investigation. It was the officer’s weapon that was discharged, striking the victim.
