Morris County Woman Charged with Health Care Fraud Conspiracy

NEWARK, NJ – U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger announced today that Aysha Khan, a 33-year-old woman from Kinnelon, Morris County, has been charged for her role in a health care fraud conspiracy. Khan controlled and operated a network of specialty pharmacies that billed health insurance providers for medications that were not actually provided to patients.

From 2015 through 2022, the pharmacies received over $10 million in reimbursement payments from Medicare for undelivered medications. Khan faces one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and four counts of health care fraud, with each count punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
