Police investigating after 27-year-old found murdered inside Bronx apartment building

NEW YORK, NY – A 27-year-old man was found dead, stabbed in the back, outside a 2nd-floor apartment in the Bronx early Friday morning.

Police responded to 808 Elsmere Place after receiving a 911 call reporting a man stabbed and unconscious in the hallway of the apartment building.

When police arrived, they found the man unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from a stab wound. He was treated by EMS and taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

A 25-year-old suspect was reportedly taken into custody by police a short time later. At this time, police have not identified that suspect.


The victim’s identity was not released, pending notification of his family.
