81-year-old man punched in face, robbed in Far Rockaway

NEW YORK, NY – An 81-year-old man walking along the street in Far Rockaway was punched and robbed by an unidentified male suspect. Police are continuing their investigation into the unprovoked assault in February.

Detectives with the 101st Precinct have released a photo of the suspect, still at large.

As the elderly man was walking along Foam Place in the vicinity of 11-44, he was approached by an unknown male suspect. Without provocation, the suspect punched the man in the face and removed $150 from his pocket.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. The man suffered facial injuries that required treatment.
