BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – U.S. Army reservist Jeffrey Brooks was reported missing on Thursday.

Brooks was reported missing by his family after failing to attend work on Thursday. The family said they had been told about his argument with his roommate Markis Russell, 24, before his disappearance.

His family said he wasn’t answering his phone and that his car was also missing.

When confronted by police, Russell provided a full confession and showed them where he had left his body.

Russell was arrested. He admitted to shooting Brooks and leaving his body inside his car behind a Harford Road church.

The next day, police were directed to where Brooks’ body was, in the back of a car, and his roommate has been arrested.

The medical examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy.

Homicide Detectives are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact them at 410-396-2100.
