Hit-and-Run Crash in Berkeley Township: Police Seek Information

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Saturday, a hit-and-run occurred in the parking lot of 657 Route 9. The caller reported that a dark grey 2008-2012 Ford F150 Super cab struck a utility pole, causing damage to the front driver’s side of the bumper, and then sped away northbound on Route 9. Berkeley Township police officers responded to the scene, and CCTV footage was gathered to corroborate the information.

Jersey Central Power and Light responded to the area and advised that the pole will need to be replaced. This is expected to cause traffic delays during the duration of the replacement. Patrolman Murawski is the investigating officer, and charges are expected if the driver and vehicle can be identified.
