Chris Christie wants to take out Donald Trump

BEDMINSTER, NJ – Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie focuses on a new target, his former friend and President, Donald J. Trump. Christie, who is polling at zero in the latest 2024 Presidential poll conducted by Fox News says low approval ratings and invisibility on the national stage aren’t going to dampen his spirits.

The relationship between Trump and Christie is an American bromance story. They are perhaps America’s most famous political frenemies.

Now, Politico is branding Christie, once a close friend to the former President as a “Trump Destroyer”.

Christie was on the campaign trail in New Hampshire this week in an attempt to pull his presidential campaign out of the political basement.

“Trump said a few weeks ago: I am your retribution. Guess what everybody? No thanks,” Christie told a group of supporters. “The only person he cares about is him. And if we haven’t learned that since Election Day 2020 until today, we’re not paying attention.”

The former New Jersey governor, who left office with the lowest approval ratings of any governor in state history, said he is the only person with what it takes to beat Trump.

“So you need to think about who’s got the skill to do that and who’s got the guts to do it, because it’s not going to end nicely,” the governor said. “No matter what, his end will not be a calm and quiet conclusion.”

Christie said he will decide within 60 days whether or not he would make an official run against the former President.
