HOWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Howell Township Police Department has added anti-choking devices to the growing list of life-saving tools to be carried by police in the township.

“The Howell Township Police Department is pleased to announce the addition of an anti-choking device to our arsenal of life-saving tools,” the Department said. “When a person’s airway is obstructed, this device can help. It’s quick, simple, and effective.”

The device can be used by both adults and children, making it a valuable life-saving tool.

“We sincerely hope that we will never need to use it, but if we do, we will be better prepared with this equipment,” the department said. “A special thank you to Detective Nick Saltzman, who introduced us to this device and spearheaded the campaign to get one placed into numerous patrol vehicles.”
