67-year-old man robbed at gunpoint while buying food inside Bronx market

NEW YORK, NY – A 67-year-old man was robbed as he was buying food inside a market located on 180th Street in the Bronx on Friday.

According to police, the man was paying for his groceries at around noon when an unidentified man approached him and pulled a gun him.

“Give me your wallet,” the suspect yelled as he pointed the gun in his direction.


The suspect took $700 and jewelry from the elderly man before fleeing westbound on East 180th Street. The man was not injured during the robbery.

Police are asking the public to help identify the suspect.
