The average U.S. credit score, according to Equifax, is 698. The highest credit score a person can attain is 850.

Credit scores for many are recovering from the global pandemic, where people were out of work, and dollars had to be stretched. In fact, WalletHub reported that 2022 was the first time in history that the average credit score in America did not increase.
