Woman stabbed taking out trash in uprovoked knife attack feet from Manhattan precinct HQ

NEW YORK, NY – The NYPD is investigating an unprovoked knife attack that happened less than a block from the 23rd Precinct station house on East 102nd Street on Tuesday.

According to police, at around 8 pm, a 32-year-old woman was taking out the trash in front of a residential building when a suspect approached her and stabbed her.

The man did not say anything to the woman before initiating the attack. The woman was stabbed in the shoulder. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was listed in serious but stable condition.
