TRENTON, NJ – New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has spent the past few years criticizing and ridiculing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Now, he and other Democrat Governors who have joined in on the Florida bashing are heading to Palm Beach to attend the annual Democrat Governors Conference.

According to NJ.com, twentieth-century pop star Jon Bon Jovi will host a private event for the Democrat governors at his nearby home in Palm Beach.

Just a week ago, Murphy called Florida’s education policy ‘shameful’.

In February, during his effort to expand AP black history studies in New Jersey, Murphy took another shot at Governor DeSantis and the Florida education system.

“Enough already of all this nonsense coming out of Florida, we want to expand the story and tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, even when it hurts,” Murphy said.

In 2022, Murphy stopped short of blaming DeSantis and Florida’s gun policies for the Parkland school shooting, although he was not a governor at the time of the incident.

Murphy and DeSantis exchanged jabs over the past few years, dating back to the COVID years when Murphy routinely criticized DeSantis for not locking down the state like Murphy did in New Jersey.

In June of 2021, California and New Jersey banned travel to Florida during the COVID-19 pandemic.
