Suspect points gun at mother, 9-year-old daughter during argument at Popeyes

NEWARK, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a disturbing incident on Tuesday in which a man pointed a handgun at a woman during a parking lot dispute.

The confrontation occurred around 4:36 p.m. at the Popeyes restaurant at 80 McIntosh Plaza. The 36-year-old victim reported that the suspect, an older white male driving a gray Jeep Renegade, argued with her about her parking position before drawing a handgun and aiming it at her and her 9-year-old daughter.

The suspect fled the location without further incident.
