VBPD Makes Multiple in Year-Long Gang Related Investigation, including Eight juveniles

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) announced on Saturday, that it had executed four residential search warrants in the City of Virginia Beach. The operation resulted in the arrests of several individuals on charges ranging from 52 felonies to 16 misdemeanors.

The operation was part of an almost year-long investigation into gang activity, violent crimes, and a series of stolen vehicles. The VBPD stated that over a dozen stolen auto cases were positively cleared as a result of the operation.

Notable arrests included Devon Hason Bennett, Giovanni Quance Ulacco, and Quadeyr Tyus, who were all charged with felony possession of stolen property, among other charges.

Eight juveniles of various ages were also arrested on a range of charges, including felony possession of stolen property, felony conspiracy to commit grand larceny, misdemeanor trespassing, and juvenile possession of a firearm.


The VBPD credited the Second Precinct Crime Suppression Squad and Property Crimes Unit, as well as the Norfolk PD SWAT, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, and Virginia State Police for their collaboration in the operation.
