LAKELAND, FL – Geraldine Gimblet, a resident of Lakeland, won a $2 million top prize from the $2,000,000 BONUS CASHWORD Scratch-Off game at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

She opted for a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,645,000.00. Gimblet shared her story of triumph, stating that the gas station clerk initially thought there were no tickets left, but she insisted he double check as she loves the crossword games the most.

Her daughter and granddaughter were present to celebrate the win with her, and the Chief of Staff, Reggie Dixon, even joined in on the festivities.

Gimblet purchased the winning ticket from Pipkin Road Beverage Castle in Lakeland, and the retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission. This $10 game launched in May 2022 and offers eight top prizes of $2 million and 20 second-tier prizes of $100,000, with overall odds of winning at 1-in-3.12. Gimblet’s win brings joy to her family, especially her daughter, who had just completed her last treatment for breast cancer the day before her mother’s big win.
