Suspect punched worker, stole tires from Staten Island tire shop

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that took place on Sunday, April 2, 2023, in front of Chino’s Tire Shop at 183 Targee Street.

According to police reports, the suspect approached the shop and began to remove tires without paying. When a male employee tried to intervene, the suspect punched him in the face before fleeing with two tires valued at $300. The employee sustained injuries but declined medical attention.

The police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect, described as a dark-complexioned male with medium build and facial hair, last seen wearing a black baseball hat, black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.
