Two dogs killed, but 17-year-old girl survives after being struck by vehicle

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – A 17-year-old female pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries in a collision on Muncaster Mill Road on Monday.

The incident occurred when a Red Toyota Corolla, traveling south on Muncaster Mill Rd., struck the young woman while walking her two dogs across the street.

Both dogs died at the scene.

The striking vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.


The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact CRU detectives at 240-773-6620.
