Cumberland Assault Arrest: Suspect Held Without Bond

CUMBERLAND, MD – On Wednesday, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a reported assault in the 200 block of Baltimore Street

. Upon arrival, they spoke with the victim, who claimed that Shawn Lamr Gladden had assaulted them and was not allowed at the residence due to a previous assault investigation and a court order. Gladden, 40, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and two counts of violation of pre-trial release conditions.

He was taken before a District Court Commissioner and held without bond.
