KNOXVILLE, MD – A Knoxville Sheetz has sold a million dollar Powerball ticket.

A couple from Southern Frederick County is celebrating their $1 million Powerball win. The couple, who chose to remain anonymous and go by “M and M Retirement Fund”, bought the winning ticket at Sheetz #176 in Knoxville.

The husband, who regularly buys Powerball and Mega Millions tickets, had been playing the same five combinations for the past six months. When the wife saw a social media post about a $1 million winning ticket being sold at Sheetz, she urged her husband to check his tickets. After he delayed checking it due to work, he later found out that he had won and called his wife, who screamed with joy.

The couple plans to save most of the money for retirement, with some of it going towards travel and home repairs. The husband is also considering buying a new car for his wife. They claimed their prize on April 14th, and the Sheetz store that sold the ticket will receive a $2,500 bonus from the Lottery.
