SPRINGDALE, OH – Evan Tarrance, accused of shooting a 27-year-old woman in the face while she was sitting in an SUV, turned himself in to Springdale police on Friday.

Tarrance is being charged with felonious assault and is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $250,000 bond.

The incident occurred on Thursday morning when Tarrance approached the victim’s SUV, parked near a building on Glensprings Drive between Oakwood and Arbor courts, and shot her through the vehicle’s window.

According to Officer Keenan Riordan, Tarrance was known to the victim, but the reason for the shooting remains unclear. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Her condition is currently unknown.

Tarrance was not at the scene when officers arrived, but he later asked someone to call the police so he could turn himself in. He was taken into custody in the parking lot of a Walgreens around 3:30 p.m. on Friday. A firearm was found inside Tarrance’s vehicle, which is believed to be the weapon used in the shooting.
