Bullets strike storefront, vehicles in Edgewood

EDGEWOOD, PA – Gunfire rang out in Edgewood on Friday. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but police are now investigating the incident.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit responded to a request for assistance in Edgewood after reports of shots fired on Friday.

At approximately 2:36 pm, County 9-1-1 was notified of the gunfire in the 1700 block of Braddock Avenue. First responders arrived at the scene and found evidence of a storefront and several parked vehicles struck by bullets.

ACPD detectives are actively investigating the shooting and are urging anyone with information concerning this incident to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
