Police Arrest 17-Year-Old in Connection with Fatal Shooting at Bronx Subway Station

NEW YORK, NY – A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of another 17-year-old male at a Bronx subway station earlier this week.

According to the NYPD, on Monday, April 10, police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at the Burke Avenue and White Plains Road station in the Bronx. Upon arrival, officers found two teenagers with gunshot wounds. One victim had multiple gunshot wounds to his head, arm, and shoulder and was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim suffered a gunshot wound to his hip but is listed in stable condition.

The victim was later identified as Kymani Woods, a 17-year-old male from the Bronx.


After an ongoing investigation, the suspect was arrested and charged on Friday, April 14, at 4:50 pm within the confines of the 47 Precinct. He has been charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a firearm. Police have not released the suspect’s name due to his age.

The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
