CLEVELAND, OH – A Cleveland man has been indicted on charges of kidnapping and murder, according to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley. Aaron Parsons, 36, has been charged with the kidnapping of a double amputee male and the murder of a 23-year-old male in Cleveland.

The incidents took place on February 21 and March 24, 2023, respectively. In the first incident, Parsons and two other males approached the victim, who was sitting in his car, and forced him to drive while striking him in the head. The group eventually removed the victim from his car and left him on railroad tracks, where they also discarded his wheelchair and fled the scene in his vehicle. The victim called the police and the car was later found burned.

In the second incident, Parsons and Danielle Mayne-Hicks beat the victim and Parsons shot him multiple times in the head.

“n March 24, Aaron Parsons and Danielle Mayne-Hicks approached the victim, 23, under a bridge by railroad tracks near Pearl Road and West 25th Street in Cleveland. They beat the victim and Parsons shot him in the head multiple times,” Prosecutor O’Malley said. “They then fled the scene. The Cleveland Metroparks Police Department and Cleveland EMS responded to the scene. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.”

Parsons has been indicted on charges of attempted murder, aggravated robbery, robbery, kidnapping, tampering with evidence, arson, grand theft, and having weapons under disability. He has also been indicted on three counts of aggravated murder, four counts of murder, two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of robbery, and two counts of kidnapping in relation to the second incident.

Mayne-Hicks has been indicted on charges of aggravated robbery, robbery, and kidnapping in relation to the second incident.

“Aaron Parsons is a barbaric predator,” said Prosecutor O’Malley. “Judgment day is coming.”
