State police seek man who assaulted Parkway gas station attendant

GALLOWAY TWP, NJ – A gas station attendant working at a Garden State Parkway rest area was assaulted by a customer last weekend. Today, police released a photo of the suspect.

The New Jersey State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual wanted in connection with an assault that occurred at the Garden State Parkway Frank Sinatra Service Area on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at around 8:00 PM.

According to the police, a dispute over payment for fuel led to the gas attendant at the service area being assaulted by the pictured individual. The NJSP released an image of the suspect and are asking anyone with information about his identity to come forward.

Detective Scott Tetzlaff of the New Jersey State Police Galloway Station Detective Bureau can be reached at 732-441-4500 ext. 5917 for any information regarding the case. The police have also assured the public that anonymous tips are welcome.


The extent of the victim’s injuries were not made known.
