Teen Charged in Double Homicide in Columbus; 16-Year-Old Girl Uninjured

COLUMBUS, OH – An 18-year-old man, Cayon Drake, has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder in connection to a shooting in east Columbus that left two other teenagers dead yesterday. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of East 10th Avenue, where Antonie Moss Jr., 19, and Jeremy Heglar, 16, were found deceased. A 16-year-old girl was present in the vehicle with the two victims and the suspect when the shooting occurred but was not injured.

Columbus Police officers were dispatched to the area on a report of a shooting and found Moss dead at the scene shortly before 9 p.m. Heglar was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation.
