NEW YORK, NY – A stabbing inside a Washington Heights deli started as an argument between a 28-year-old man and a teenage store employee on Wednesday.

The New York City Police Department is now searching for the suspect involved in the assault at the Gourmet Deli located at 1408 Saint Nicholas Avenue.

The incident began with a verbal dispute between the suspect and a 28-year-old male, Edwin Rodriguez. The argument escalated, leading to Rodriguez throwing a card reader at an 18-year-old store employee and striking him in the head.
