Public Urged to Help Identify Package Thief in Chestnut Street Apartment Building

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Central Detective Division of the Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent package theft. On Tuesday, at around 12:49 am, an unknown black male broke into an apartment building in the 2000 block of Chestnut Street. The suspect gained entry by shattering the front door glass and proceeded to steal several packages belonging to tenants.

Once the suspect collected the packages, he left the premises in an unknown direction. He is described as a black male wearing a black, gray, and pink or red sweat jacket with stripes on the sleeves, gray sweatpants, a black and white bandana around his neck, and multi-color sneakers.
