Police searching for teen who snatched phone from man on Coney Island bus

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected to a grand larceny incident within the 61 Precinct. On Wednesday, at approximately 10:25 PM, a 27-year-old male was aboard the B82 MTA bus in front of 1114 Kings Highway when an unidentified male snatched his iPhone 13 off his hand and fled on foot southbound on Coney Island Avenue. There were no injuries as a result of this incident. The value of the iPhone 13 is approximately $750.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 13 to 16 years of age, with a medium build, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with white lettering in the front, a red t-shirt under the sweater, gray ripped jeans, yellow and gray sneakers, and a black winter hat. Surveillance photos and video have been released by the NYPD, obtained from the MTA Bus.
