BOSTON, MA – Yesterday, officers assigned to District D-4 in the South End located and arrested 33-year-old Nahom Getaneh in the area of Atkinson Street and Southampton Street in Boston.
At the time of his arrest, Getaneh was wanted on two outstanding warrants on charges of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender issued out of Roxbury District Court and Possession of Class B Drugs issued out of Boston Municipal Court.
Additionally, investigators had established probable cause to charge Getaneh in relation to a recent sexual assault that occurred at approximately 11:45 PM on Saturday, in the area of Beacon Street and Public Alley 908 in the Back Bay.
Getaneh will appear in Boston Municipal Court on charges of Assault with Intent to Rape and Indecent Assault and Battery related to this most recent incident.
