Frederick police warn business owners of suspect passing bad checks

FREDERICK, MD- Police in Frederick say a man has been passing bad checks at local businesses and issued an alert for the alleged suspect.

The Frederick Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in two cases of fraud. The suspect is suspected of writing bad checks using a fake name to purchase items within the city.

Officer Buntley of the Frederick Police Department is leading the investigation and can be reached at wbuntley@frederickmdpolice.org for any information that may lead to the identification of the suspect.


The public is advised to be on the lookout for the suspect pictured. Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is urged to contact the FPD tip lines at 301-600-TIPS (8477), send an email to fpdcrimetip@frederickmdpolice.org, or send a text to 240-674-TIPS (8477).
