Wildwood Jitney service to resume Memorial Day weekend

WILDWOOD, NJ – The Wildwoods Island Shuttle Service is set to return for the 2023 summer season starting Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 26 and ending Sunday, September 17. The shuttle service is made possible through a cooperative agreement with the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA) and the three municipalities of the Wildwoods.

The shuttle will operate on a weekends-only schedule from Friday, May 26 to Sunday, June 25, with service available on Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 5 p.m. to midnight. From Monday, June 26, service will expand to a seven-day-a-week route through Sunday, September 3, with service available Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. From Friday, September 8 through Sunday, September 17, the shuttles will again operate on a weekends-only schedule.

Visitors can hop aboard the convenient Jitneys to be transported to the Wildwoods Boardwalk, bars, and nightclubs in the North Wildwood Entertainment District, and everywhere in between. The shuttles, provided by the AC Jitney Association, have the Wildwoods logo featured prominently on their sides, making it easy for visitors to identify them.

Each Jitney is ADA compliant and equipped with motorized lifts for wheelchair accessibility. Riders can flag the shuttle to board anywhere along the route, and the Jitney will stop to pick them up. Each shuttle contains 13 available seats, and rides are $3 one way per person, while children 4 years of age and under ride free.
