Young woman attacked, robbed inside StuyTown subway station

NEW YORK, NY – A young woman was beaten and robbed inside an East Side subway station near Alphabet City, just outside of StuyTown. Police say the suspects were three females.

The assault and robbery happened early Thursday morning at around 12:45 am inside the 1st Avenue MTA ‘L’ train subway station platform.

According to the police report, the victim, a 20-year-old female, was approached from behind by three individuals who punched, kicked, and brought her to the ground.


The suspects then forcibly took the victim’s purse, which contained her wallet and AirPods, before fleeing the scene. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital by EMS for treatment of lacerations, bruising, and swelling to her face.

The suspects are described as females around 20 years of age.
