CLEVELAND, OH – Adam Cotte, a 34-year-old sex offender, has been indicted by a Cuyahoga County grand jury for attempting to meet and engage in sexual activity with a 12-year-old girl.

Cotte engaged in sexually explicit online conversations with an undercover officer who posed as a child on a social media app from April 11 to April 13. He also sent the young girl (undercover agent) sexual images during the online conversations.

Following the conversations, Cotte bought a bus ticket to meet the person he believed to be a child and was arrested without incident by law enforcement officers on April 13.

Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley praised the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for their work on the case, and stated that Cotte should receive a lengthy prison sentence and be registered as a sex offender for life.
