Mo Hill mails bizarre homophobic, racist, anti-teacher rant to voters after being denied pension

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Toms River Mayor Maurice Hill has sent out a political mailer to voters days after he was denied a public pension by the state of New Jersey. That mailer targeted teachers, blacks and the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, Hill declared that residents worried about changes in Toms River, regarding development and zoning, are ‘inflaming hate’ in the community.

Knowing he was not going to get the public pension he feels he deserved, Hill appears to be rebranding himself as an extreme far-right candidate to make up for losses in the polls.

In the mailer sent to voters on Thursday, Hill slammed Toms River teachers as “radicals’ who are ‘corrupting our children’ and berated ‘well-paid’ teachers in Toms River.

Ironically, Mo Hill’s wife and daughter are both teachers in the Toms River School District.

Hill also posted a Bud Light beer can with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney under an NJEA sign and a photo of a protester holding a ‘defund the police’ sign.

Ironically, Hill is also being sued by former Toms River Business Administrator Don Guardian over inappropriate acts and comments against Guardian inside town hall. That lawsuit is currently being litigated and headed for a private settlement.

In the mailer, Hill also slammed “hateful rhetoric that divides Toms River”.

According to Hill, people who oppose his policy with the growing Orthodox Jewish community ‘feed on fears’ and ‘inflame hate’.

“Mayor Hill is dealing with this, like all other complex challenges, with dignity and respect,” Hill said in the campaign mailer. “He negotiates with the Justice Department and the Community.”

In the mailer, Hill slammed a New York Times 1619 project that seeks to educate the community about the damages done to black people over hundreds of years of slavery.

Hill also attacked his opponent Dan Rodrick for opposing his $14 million project that paves the way for massive redevelopment in the Downtown business district.

We reached out to Art Gallagher who is paid by the township to serve as Hill’s personal press secretary, who also is suspected of designing the mailer, but did not receive a response.

The mailer clearly states it was ‘Paid for by Mo Hill for Mayor’.

Due to the hateful and harmful nature of Hill’s mailer, the mailer was not provided in this article.
