HOLMDEL, NJ – ‘Senior Assasin’ is a game played by high school seniors all across New Jersey, but police in Holmdel are advising students to use their heads when playing, even recommending they stop playing the game altogether.

The Holmdel Police Department has issued a warning to high school seniors regarding their involvement in a potentially dangerous game called “Senior Assassin”.

“In this game, students are assigned a target to “assassinate” by shooting them with a water gun outside of school. Some students have gone to extreme lengths to complete their missions, waiting for hours outside of the target’s homes,” police said.

However, the police received a report that two students were mistakenly playing the game at the wrong address, raising concerns about the potential danger this game can pose to residents.

The Holmdel Police are urging students to stop participating in the game immediately to avoid any dangerous situations.

They emphasized that Holmdel is one of the many towns in the state that car thieves are targeting, and any suspicious activity could be perceived as a threat. The current climate of heightened awareness and sensitivity to such incidents further raises concerns about the safety of residents.

While the game may have been intended as harmless fun and a rite of passage for senior students, the police are urging them to reconsider playing it due to the potential danger it poses. The police want students to be aware that their actions could be perceived as threatening and may result in unnecessary panic or dangerous situations. They urge students to be mindful of the consequences of their actions and to make responsible decisions.
