TOMS RIVER, NJ – Motorists in the area of Oak Ridge Parkway and Route 37 are advised of roadwork underway at the intersection that has necessitated the closure of some lanes.

This has led to a significant slowdown in traffic flow. Commuters heading westbound on Route 37 or intending to use Oak Ridge Parkway are advised to find an alternate route.

The lane closures come as a result of emergency roadwork being carried out on Route 37.

Officials have not disclosed the nature of the emergency but are urging drivers to exercise caution while navigating through the area. The work is expected to continue for the next few hours and drivers should plan their routes accordingly.

The township was battered over the weekend by heavy rains.
