Police investigating armed robbery at Yankee Stadium train station

NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place inside a subway station at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday. The incident happened about six hours after the New York Yankees defeated the Cleveland Indians 4-2.

According to a police report, a 45-year-old male victim was waiting on the southbound ‘4’ train platform when an unknown male individual approached him.

The suspect displayed a firearm and demanded the victim’s book bag. The victim complied and handed over the bag, and the suspect fled onboard a southbound ‘4’ train.


The victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 30 years old, standing at around 5’5” and weighing approximately 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, dark jeans, and black sneakers.
