Stabbing on CTA Redline Leaves Man in Critical Condition

CHICAGO, IL – A physical altercation on the CTA Redline escalated into a stabbing incident on Tuesday. The victim, a 28-year-old man, sustained multiple stab wounds to the stomach, head, and arms during the altercation with a 21-year-old male offender. The assailant produced a knife and launched the attack, inflicting severe injuries on the victim.

Both the victim and the offender were swiftly transported to Christ Hospital for medical attention.

Area Two detectives have taken over the investigation and are diligently working to gather evidence and determine the circumstances leading to the incident.

A knife was recovered from the scene and will undergo forensic analysis.
