NYPD Seeks Public’s Help to Identify Scooter Robber in 1st Precinct

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a male suspect involved in a robbery that took place downtown Manhattan.

The incident occurred on April 26, 2023, at around 6:00 am, when the 37-year-old male victim was riding his standup electric scooter near 128 Thompson Street.

An unidentified male suspect pushed the victim into a parked vehicle and forcibly removed his scooter. The suspect then fled eastbound on Prince Street before turning northbound on West Broadway. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 20 years old, 6’3″ tall, weighing 180 pounds, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black and gray “NIKE” hoodie jacket, black sweatpants, and black sneakers. The NYPD has released surveillance photos obtained from the incident location, which are available through the DCPI.
