NJSP superintendent host round table on police response to hurricanes, pandemic

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – New Jersey State Police Superintendent Colonel Patrick Callahan visited the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University in New Brunswick on Saturday to participate in a round-table discussion on the State Police’s response to Hurricanes Sandy and Ida, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Colonel was joined by John Farmer, Jr., the former Attorney General of New Jersey and current Director of the Eagleton Institute, as well as John Weingart, the Associate Director, and Anna Dulencin, the Science and Politics Program Director, along with Eagleton Fellows and students.

The discussion was centered around the State Police’s role during these challenging times and how they were able to provide assistance to the communities they serve. The participants asked thought-provoking questions and engaged in meaningful conversation.
