NYPD asking for help identifying robbery suspect

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a commercial robbery that occurred in Queens last week.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:14 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, at a BP gas station located at 75-15 Northern Boulevard within the jurisdiction of the 115 Precinct.

According to the police report, an unidentified male entered the gas station and walked behind the counter, brandishing a knife at the 24-year-old employee. The suspect demanded cash, and the employee complied, handing over approximately $1,000 from the register. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on Northern Boulevard towards 74 Street.

There were no injuries reported during the incident.
