Shoplifter pulls knife during struggle with Home Depot worker in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY – A scuffle between a shoplifter and a loss prevention office at a Bronx Home Depot store ended with a knife being pulled on the employee.

Police said the robbery took place at a Home Depot located at 600 Exterior Street within the confines of the 44th Precinct on Friday, April 28, 2023.

Now, the New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating the individual and has released photos and video footage of the incident.


According to police reports, an unknown individual entered the commercial establishment and passed all points of sale with unpaid merchandise.

When approached by a 34-year-old male loss prevention officer, the individual engaged in a physical struggle for the store items and then displayed a knife before fleeing on foot. The stolen items are valued at approximately $115.

The video shows the male suspect pulling from the worker before pulling out a knife.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
