Brick Township Street Crimes Unit Busts Crack Dealers in Joint Operation

BRICK, NJ – On Wednesday, May 3, the Brick Township Street Crimes Unit concluded a substantial drug investigation with the execution of two residential search warrants.

Assisted by the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force and the Lakewood SCU, officers arrested two men, Thomas Quran, 44, and Michael Sorresso, 54, both from Brick.

Officers recovered crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a digital scale during the operation. Quran was charged with possession of crack cocaine and heroin, intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence. Sorresso was charged with possession of heroin.


The arrests mark a significant breakthrough in the SCU’s ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crime in the area. Quran was lodged in Ocean County Jail, while Sorresso was released on a summons, marking an end to a lengthy investigation that has underscored the unit’s commitment to public safety.
