New York City – Two sexual assaults were reported on Sunday, April 30 in separate incidents that have left residents on the Upper West Side concerned.
According to two police reports by the NYPD, both incidents involved an unknown male perpetrator who approached female victims from behind and touched their private areas before fleeing the scene.
The first incident occurred in front of 378 West End Avenue, where a 49-year-old woman was assaulted. The second incident happened in the vicinity of West 78 Street and Broadway, where a 43-year-old woman was attacked.
In the second incident, the perpetrator grabbed the victim around the neck before touching her private area and fleeing onto the uptown platform of the 79 Street subway station.
Police have released a description of the suspect, who is described as a male with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a dark-colored jacket with a red and white stripe, a blue shirt, and dark-colored pants.

The victims did not sustain any physical injuries, but both incidents have raised concerns among residents about the safety of the neighborhood. The NYPD is investigating the incidents and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
