Two NYC public school employees arrested on Friday

NEW YORK, NY – Two off-duty New York City employees were arrested on Friday, May 12, 2023, in separate incidents. The first individual, Monique Delgado, a 45-year-old NYPD School Safety Agent, was arrested and charged with assault in the 101st Precinct.

The second individual, Antaneja Wright, a 31-year-old NYPD School Crossing Guard, was arrested in the 10th Precinct and charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17, and assault.

Both arrests were made while the individuals were off-duty, and it is unclear at this time what led to the incidents that resulted in the charges. The NYPD has not released any further information about the cases or the alleged victims.


The cases will be prosecuted by the Queens and Manhattan District Attorneys’ offices, respectively.
