43-year-old man shot and killed in Crown Heights home

NEW YORK, NY – A man shot on Thursday in Crown Heights has died from his wounds, the NYPD reported today.

Early Thursday morning, police received a 911 call reporting a male shot at 1550 Sterling Place, located in the 77 Precinct in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 43-year-old male victim in the first-floor hallway, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County in critical condition.


On Friday, the victim, identified as Durell Falero, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The incident has been classified as a homicide. Currently, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
