NYPD releases photo of man wanted for raping Brooklyn woman inside her home while she slept

BROOKLYN, NY – A Brooklyn woman was raped and robbed while she slept by a home invasion suspect in her bedroom in her Brooklyn Heights home on Friday.

On Monday, the NYPD released a new photo of the suspect after releasing a sketch over the weekend.

The NYPD is now searching for an unknown male individual who broke into a woman’s apartment and sexually assaulted her in the early hours of Friday morning.


The incident occurred in the vicinity of Middagh Street and Henry Street.

According to police reports, the perpetrator entered the 43-year-old woman’s apartment at approximately 1:55 am and proceeded to sexually assault her while she slept in her bedroom.

The victim woke up during the assault, and the perpetrator fled the location with her wallet, which contained cash and credit cards. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident.

Detectives with the 84th Precinct are investigating the assault.

The NYPD has released a sketch of the perpetrator, who is still at large.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the perpetrator’s whereabouts to come forward.
