FREDERICK, MD – A woman from Frederick found her passion for playing the Maryland Lottery rewarded when she purchased a $5 Power Spot Multiplier scratch-off and won the game’s coveted $50,000 top prize.

While she has experienced previous wins, the 28-year-old loyal player never expected a prize as substantial as the one she claimed on May 15 at the Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. Her previous wins ranged from $5 to $1,000. With her newfound wealth, she intends to replace her current car, which has become too small for her needs. Even after her big win, she plans to continue playing and enjoying the Lottery.

Celebrating alongside her is Washingtonian Express, located at 1395 West Patrick Street in Frederick, where she purchased the winning scratch-off. As a result of selling the top-prize winning ticket, the store will receive a bonus of $500, which is 1% of the prize, from the Maryland Lottery.
