Man assaulted and robbed in Queens

NEW YORK, NY – Police are seeking to locate a suspect wanted for a robbery and assault on Wednesday in Queens.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., a 25-year-old male was walking near the intersection of 37 Avenue and 102 Street when an unknown person approached him. Without warning, the individual assaulted the victim by punching him in the face and demanded his wallet and cell phone.

The victim refused to comply, choosing to flee instead. The assailant was last observed escaping eastbound on 37 Street.

Although the victim sustained minor injuries, he declined medical attention at the scene.


The suspect is described as a male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, standing around 5’2″ to 5’8″ with a light complexion, slim build, and a beard.

At the time, he was seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black coat with a white shirt underneath, dark-colored pants, and white sneakers.
