TRENTON, NJ – James W. Parrillo Jr., 57, faces new charges of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, following an indictment by a state grand jury. The announcement came from Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin on May 3, 2023.

Parrillo was initially arrested by the New Jersey State Police (NJSP) on February 7, 2023, after a woman, allegedly kidnapped by Parrillo in New Mexico, escaped from a Bass River Township residence. The woman reported being held captive as they traveled across the country before settling in New Jersey in December 2022.

The additional charges follow further investigative work by the NJSP, the Division of Criminal Justice Human Trafficking/Sexual Violence Unit, and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. Parrillo is currently detained in the Burlington County Jail pending trial.
